Picnik Firefox extension
There is a great productivity tip on the Lifehacker blog that describes a Firefox extension that adds a menu option for editing images in the Picnik application (a free online image editor).
Like mostly everyone, I periodically need to tweak images. My needs are generally pretty simple - crop, resize, sometimes small color corrections. It's always annoying have to save the image locally, hunt around for my graphics app (which I use so occasionally that I can never remember its name), open the file, make the changes, save again, and then upload.
With the Picnik extension for Firefox, you simply right-click on an image on a web page and select "Edit Image in Picnik". This option loads the image in the online Picnik application, where you can crop, zoom, resize, do color corrections - all the standard stuff. It's a very nice, intuitive interface. When you're done, you can save to a local file, or email, or upload to your Flickr or Facebook account. Cool!
